1. Preliminary Plans - Produce preliminary plans through drawings and sketches
- Drawing equipment; graphite pencils, erasers, technical pen, disposable ink pens, tracing paper, compass, triangle, cork backed ruler, drafting tape, layout pencils, drafting brush, pastels for rendering.
- Produce sketches, floor plans and elevations with rendering to communicate colour schemes.
2. Resources - Information required and resources for products and materials
- Existing floor plans and elevations
- Business professionals, tradesmen, lighting retailers, furniture retailers.
3. Research - Research made via internet, books, magazines and retailers.
- Create a digital mood board.
- Research the 80's fashion and colour schemes.
- Research the 80's style of furniture and fixtures.
4. Material Selections - Collect materials and finishes
- Create material boards with material samples, foam core, Stanley knife, ruler and glue.
5. 3D Forms - Show concept design and colour scheme through 3D forms
- 3D sketches drawn by hand.
- CAD 3D forms, made through sketch up.
